The FN 509 Full Size is a 9mm striker fired pistol with a 17+1 capacity suitable for duty, home defense or even concealed carry use. This pistol is based on FN’s submission pistol for the U.S. Army’s Modular Handgun Trials and includes improvements to the design that were incorporated in the civilian version. Fixed 3-dot luminescent sights provide a fast and accurate sight picture along with the ability to perform a one handed tactical rack using the slide against a belt loop, pant pocket or boot. A full size grip with Interchangeable backstraps provides a secure comfortable grip and outstanding capacity. The heart of the 509 is a 4″ cold hammer-forged, stainless-steel threaded barrel with a target crown, polished chamber and feed ramp for accuracy and reliability. Standard 509 features include a fully ambidextrous slide stop lever and magazine release along with an accessory rail for mounting your choice of weapon light.
