The Springfield Model 2020 Waypoint bolt action hunting rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor is the first new bolt action rifle to carry the Springfield Armory name in decades. This lightweight, premium quality rifle features an Evergreen Camo painted, hand-laid carbon fiber stock loaded with features such as a steep grip, tall comb, M-Lok slots under the forend and five QD swivel cavities to attach your sling. This model is equipped with a BSF carbon fiber sleeved, free floated, threaded barrel with a 1:8 twist topped off with an SA Radial muzzle brake. Fluting under the sleeve trims weight and increases surface cooling area. Springfield took extra care to provide the 2020 Waypoint with a smooth, reliable action using a spiral-fluted, nitrided, two-lug bolt which glides inside a stainless steel receiver with a Remington 700 footprint and is operated by an removable, knurled cylindrical bolt knob. The Springfield 2020 Waypoint is fed by a detachable 5 round AICS-pattern, single-stack magazine with an easy to operate magazine release just inside the the front of the trigger guard. The true test of the Springfield Model 2020 Waypoint rifle is in the field where it’s light weight earns extra points on long hikes and it’s .75 MOA accuracy really shines.
